Aircraft warning lights are normally attached on tall structures. They help in increasing visibility of such structures. Lights notify passing aircraft that indeed, there is a tall structure somewhere. Although these lights are mainly used during the night, they are also used during the day. Medium intensity white strobes are mainly used in structures that are less than 500 feet but more than 200 feet. At times, medium-intensity light is used at structures that are more than 500 feet but they must be painted.

On the other hand, high-intensity white strobes are fixed on structures whose height is above 700 feet. Such devices used during the day and during the night so as to enhance visibility. Aircraft are also fitted with lights that warn others on their presence. They have landing lights, wingtip navigation lights, white flashing beacons and wingtip strobes. Landing lights are mainly used when aircraft is about to land.

Broadcast masts, towers, chimneys, tall buildings, water tanks, wind turbines, electricity pylons and cranes are examples of structures in which these devices are fixed. International Civil Aviation Organization regulates all issues related to such kinds of lights. Nowadays, ICAO recommends the installation of LED lamps rather than incandescent bulbs. This is because maintenance cost is low, are reliable and their lifespan is long.

LED aviation lights do not only help in prevention of loss of life, but also in the loss of property. Facilities made by well reputed companies are generally of high quality. In other words, items used within aviation industry are not of the same quality because they are made by different companies. Quality products work efficiently and are durable.

Most of obstruction lighting designed in such a way that they are capable of warning maintenance team in case they malfunction. They have an in-built alarm that produces a warning sound in case of a problem. Other than enhancing safety, these kinds of light are generally Eco-friendly. They do not have any kind of negative impact to environment.

Those of high quality are usually the best ones because their maintenance cost is generally low. Best manufacturing companies use components that are of high quality to come up with quality products.
