Fresh Twist To Your Party Pastry With Wedding Cupcakes

By Larry Jones

Pastry is an important part of nuptials. The display gives the first impression of the reception. Wedding cupcakes are a unique alternative. They offer a wider range of display options. It solves flavor choice problems. All in all, one can have a lot of fun but still be practical with this option. The aesthetic standard is also achieved seamlessly.

This option allows room for a little more wiggling. How many guests are there? How many cakes will each guest be allowed? Which size does one prefer? Alternatively, maybe, the sizes could be varied. You know, to accommodate both sweet tooth guests and those who only rarely indulge.

Wastage has been curbed. These pastries cost less. Some bakers go a little crazy on the decorating that they end up costing as much as the traditional option. It may prove cheaper. This is however not a testament to the extent of elegance. A lot can be done to enhance this aspect.

There are three options to this pastry alternative. One can buy prebaked pastries and decorate them. They can also handle the whole process from scratch. The hard thing about doing everything is transportation. Transporting these little pastries can be an arduous task. One should, therefore, find out if the caterer would be willing to transport them. The third option is having a baker do it. It will still cost quite a lot but not as much as a traditional alternative.

You might go as crazy as you like with the flavor. There is even a mocha-flavored pastry now. Imagine having five different flavored pastries at the ceremony. It would be so much fun and exciting. You can play around with the frosting and decoration. The lining can be a foil or fancy linen. There is no wrong way to do things.

Stands are no longer just metal rods welded together to merely hold pastries. They serve an aesthetic purpose too now. Hence, electric stands. These feature lighting while others have a fancy rotating thingamajig. It is a special day. The couple can even design their own stand. What a great story that would be for the grandkids?

These are easy and quick to serve. The risk of a piece crumbling to the ground is not something to worry about. Less cake goes to waste because the variety accommodates everyone and there are no left-over dried up slices.

Tradition is an important part of life. You can incorporate the tradition of cake cutting into the ceremony by having one little pastry. The couple can still feed each other pieces bigger than their mouths and play with frosting.
