By Lisa Davis

You are vacationing to a group of islands known as one of the best sailing destination within the Caribbean Sea. You got excited to travel in a yacht as you go island hopping each day. The amenities available inside the yacht were enjoyed very much by your group. That specific yacht is known to them as the BVI Catamaran charter.

The British Virgin Islands, or Natures Little Secret as the locals calls it, is composed of both large and small islands. Its main islands, Anegada, Jost Van Dyke, Tortola, and Virgin Gorda, are among the most popular island destinations by tourists. There are travel guides that are available at online travel sites like Online Cruising Guides which can readily be downloaded. These will serve as your basis on where to go and what to do in each isle you are visiting.

Of course, travelling is not complete without having a means for transport. The company has yachts offered known as bareboat Catamaran fleets. The word was adapted from the Tamil word that equates to logs tied together.

This type of fleet is a watercraft that has two parallel hulls in equal lengths. The hulls are connected to the boat deck. For larger vessels, cabins are found on the deck and in the hulls. Some of them have a trampoline for a deck which makes the hulls go forward.

Varying lengths, accommodation, and sizes of sail boats are offered by the company. The size depends upon the number of participants in your group. It holds up to fourteen people in a vessel. The smallest is only at 39 feet long while the largest spans to more than 45 feet long. Medium sized sail boats is between 40 to 44 feet.

Naturally, amenities and facilities have to be present for a boat to be habitable. If your group does not exceed ten people, then you can choose a small Cat. Rooms available are four double cabins with two comfort rooms. Unfortunately, there is no air conditioning available for most of them. The rare few only have shore side air conditioning.

You can stay in a medium Cat if you have more than ten but do not exceed twelve people. A generator is installed in order to power the air conditioning system. It comprises of four double cabins, one bunk cabin, and four comfort rooms placed at each corner.

Meanwhile, a large Cat can hold for up to fourteen people. This also has an air conditioning which is powered by the installed generator. Sleeping rooms available are two bunk cabins plus four double cabins. There are fix to six comfort rooms widely spread in the sail boat.

Each of those sizes has a bonus feature included and given. Chart plotter, cellphone, autopilot, VHF, GPS, snorkeling gear, chart and cruising guides, and safety gear are the additional inclusions in small Catamaran sail boats. Meanwhile, underwater lights, ice maker, cockpit fridge, saloon TV, and fusion DVD sound system are inclusions in the medium sized ones. Lastly, GPS with autopilot, wind instrument, transom gas barbeque, and water maker are in the large sized ones.
