There are many fantastic places to explore in Italy. Every city and village is unique. The people are friendly and the food is fantastic. It is no surprise why this is such a popular country for the average tourist. However, it is Rome that has become one of the top tourist destinations. There are countless things to do in Rome, so you won't become bored.

This is a great place to go exploring, both for those who love art, food or someone who just wants to get to know more about the history of the city. It is definitely not something that you will want to miss out on. Children will not become bored either, because there are plenty of activities around which will keep them entertained.

Fortunately, in this day and age there is lots of technology involved to make sure that you are going to be first in line. This prevents you from waiting outside museums in the hot sun or in the rain. This can also be disappointing, especially when there is so much else that you plan to do. It is also a good idea to have Google maps with you so that you don't have to keep on asking for directions.

Many people start their trip by exploring the Vatican. This is a place where you to spend some time at. There is so much to see and you have to take your time with this in order to ensure that you come back with many memories. This is also the area where the Pope will send his message. People gather here on a Sunday afternoon to hear the prayers.

This area is also a popular site for Catholics who are drawn to where the Pope gives his message. This takes place at St. Peter's Square, and it can be a real treat. It can be really busy at times, especially during the Easter period, but this will also be a memorable occasion, so it is also something to think of doing should this mean a lot to you.

If you have been walking about the city, you would have noticed a lot of amazing architecture. This has been not only well designed, but also well built since most of the churches and buildings are solid and still standing today. One of the churches to take note of is St Peter's Basilica. There is always a lot going on in this area as well.

Once you have been to some of the most famous museums and seen the the Sistine Chapel, you may want to take a break by sitting on the Spanish steps. This is another great way to soak in the atmosphere. Many people like to spend some time here, with a take away pizza or another food item that the Italians are so famous for.

The food in this part of the world is simply outstanding. Even if you are not a foodie, you will definitely learn to appreciate it. Every part of Italy is known for something different. Rome is the same. This is not any pizza that you may be used to. Everything is unique with fresh dough and tomato sauce and the best mozzarella. If you find the time to experiment, you will have no regrets.
