By Daniel Taylor

Trauma is a global problem that needs great attention. According to some documents, an injury is a primary cause of deaths of persons under forty-five. This is usually caused by improper handling of the accident victims that greatly increase the number of deaths caused by accidents. A systematize framework to handled trauma cases is required. It gives birth to the TNCC certification New York. These are intensive courses implemented by the Emergency Nurses Association.

TNCC includes a systematic approach of initial assessment. ENA believes that the first several minutes of contusion care are critical to achieving more positive outcomes. The first several minutes could determine whether the patient will survive or not. Thus learning the proper way to handle injuries would be so important to the overall outcome of the process, it needs to be mastered.

These courses include hands-on training using both individual and team approach. These elements provide three skill stations that offer nurses to practice the systematic approach of initial assessment in real life situations. The skills stations covered include the whole trauma nursing process, air passage and respiration and trauma mediation.

The nest skill station is the airway and ventilation station. In here students would be given practical knowledge and techniques to determine the required ventilation for the victim. They should be armed with all skills to provide their victim enough airways for a maximum survival rate.

After passing the exams, verification will be issued by the Emergency Nurses Association. The verification card given by ENA will expire after four years and with that medics will have to renew it.

There are also five online learning modules to help the students learn easily. These modules give live links to much greater resources for them to learn. These online modules will help those students gain access to a much greater knowledge that they could use in the future.

Injured patients need special attention since any mishandling could result in death. They need well-trained staffs that are knowledgeable and skillful enough to handle them. With proper training, these medics would be able to assess situations correctly to avoid any further complications to any victim.

The comprehensive classes offered by the ENA produce competent medics that could respond to emergency situations. With the training that they are receiving, they can be fully trusted to handle injuries caused by accidents.

These are the elements found in these intensive training courses. These elements help produce competent nurses that could handle injury victims and ensure more positive outcomes for the patient.
